Maryn L. Formley, MS

Executive Director & Founder

Maryn L. Formley (pronounced Muh-‘Rin Form-lee) is a dedicated community advocate from the East End of Pittsburgh. A 1998 graduate of Trinity Christian School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with double concentrations in Sociology and Black Studies, from Randolph-Macon College in 2002.
 
With over 20 years in child welfare, Maryn’s career evolved into information technology, culminating in a master’s degree in Leadership with a concentration in Information Technology from Duquesne University in December 2017. Inspired by her parents’ commitment to service, Maryn founded the Voter Empowerment Education & Enrichment Movement (VEEEM) in 2017, aimed at increasing voter turnout in Allegheny County.
 
An active elder at Bidwell Presbyterian Church and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Maryn resides in Brookline with her cat, MeowMeow, and continues to strive for positive change in her community.
